We were saved that day, we never saw the house again. Turns out the plague was a plant defense that some smart ass chem student Roger Troy patient Zero created, he cross breed one toxic plant enzyme with another and so on until he was turned first and was found attacking rats in the next science bay, from there it was panic and that was what let the plague take control of the situation. We had no protocols for such an event. The freedom we live in couldn't understand the measures that were taken and they fought the system and the whole time the plague was gaining ground. it was not long before we realized that every one of us was doomed to kill the other once the inevitable happened. But pockets remained and human ingenuity is better than mindless poison pollen zombies. My father fought on for another 16 years, until he was taken by a common cold, Ava became a teacher and my fathers lessons were passed on. The months in that house were both the most traumatic events of my life but also where I became a man and learned to work for what I needed everyday. Father is remembered as a symbol of how to live on when the dead live among you.
